Happy First Month-aversary!

I cannot believe it, but it's already been 1 month since Vi and I tied the knot! It seems like it was just yesterday or at least 1 week ago that we said our vows and walked down the aisle.
But I guess it is true, "time flies when you're having fun" and in love...

Realizing this, we decided it was time to change our Facebook status and make this relationship official...and permanent! (As you know, nothing's legit until it's confirmed on facebook...lol)

So to answer the question that has often been asked in this last month: "How's it feel to be married?" ...It's been incredibly wonderful being Mrs. Hang and I really couldn't have enjoyed it so thoroughly without my dear husband. I love you Vi and am so excited to get old and cranky with you!

Anyway, here are some photos from last night...inspired by Gordon Ramsay :P

Setting up the dinner table...

Breaking out our fine china...!

 Vi taking his seat first

Him being good and patiently waiting for me ;)

Butter fluffed hokkaido potatoes with pepper olive oil infused rosti and sauteed over-sized white button caps

Oven baked organic spinach-baby portabella-ricotta cannelloni with a fresh-grated parmigiana and butter reduction sauce

Spiced sausage, clams and onions in a white wine and butter broth

Vi has tasted his first bites and is enjoying...!

But now, on to the main course: Beef Wellington

Australian beef tenderloin seared and smothered in English mustard, then layered with a coat of sauteed baby portabella, button cap mushrooms and truffle oil, afterwhich wrapped in Parma ham and finally rolled into a thin sheet of puff pastry and glazed.

This is the final product, ta-da!

Cade 2009 Sauvignon Blanc from Napa.
A gift from our wedding :)

Not home-made but still yummy, Vi's favorite mint-chip ice cream with chopped chocolate covered almonds.

By the time we finished dinner, I forgot to take a photo of us together (oops!), so Vi helped grab the camera but took one of me already changed into my jammies.
Happy 1st month anniversary Vi dear, love you!

  1. That food looks amazingly good! Did you actually eat it all? Did you do the puff pastry for the wellington from scratch? How long did it take to make everything? What recipe did you use for the sausage and clams?
